For big or hazardous trees tight to a house, a crane makes removal safer and cleaner. We supply the crane and operator and work alongside your arborist — they cut, we lift.
When a large tree is too close to a house, a garage, or power lines to fell or lower piece-by-piece safely, a crane changes the job. The arborist rigs and cuts each section; the crane holds it, lifts it clear of the structure, and swings it to a drop zone where it's processed. It's faster, far less risk to the building, and much easier on a tight Calgary lot than traditional rigging alone.
To be clear on scope: we provide the crane and a qualified operator — the arboriculture is done by your tree service. We don't cut or climb; we handle the lift. If you're a homeowner, we'll typically coordinate with the tree company doing the removal. If you're an arborist or tree service, we're the crane you call in when a job needs one.
The key numbers come from the arborist: an estimate of the heaviest section's weight, the tree's height and how far it sits from where the crane can set up, and where the drop zone will be. Add the site access and your date, and a photo of the tree and the yard. Overhead power lines are a common factor in tree work, so flag any wires up front. With that we'll size the right crane — often a mobile or rough-terrain crane depending on access — and quote it.
Tree removals near homes are all about control and the drop zone. We plan the setup, the picks, and the swing path with the arborist before anything is cut, so every section comes down where it's supposed to. On soft or unimproved ground we plan matting so the crane sets up stable.
We supply the crane & operator; your arborist does the cutting. Quoted on crane class, access, and the lift.
Send a photo and the arborist's weight estimate — we'll size the crane and quote the lift.
